China Glaze's Awakening was originally released in 2005 with their Urban Chic collection, but don't fret it was made part of their permanent line. Awakening is a darkened rosy pink packed with a golden copper shimmer. This is one of those shades that you could get away with wearing year round. Since it does have a frosty finish, it can be streaky if not applied slowly. To avoid the streaks, I usually just layer this over a darker pink shade. If you don't want to layer it, it will take three coats to become opaque. This was one of the first China Glaze nail polishes that I purchased so it does hold a special place in my nail polish collection.
