Julep's website describes Annette as "a light dove grey creme."  It definitely looks different on the nail versus in the bottle. Regardless, it is a great neutral shade that can be worn year round. The formula is very opaque and you can almost get away with one coat. I still used two coats just to be safe. Annette is a very subtle color that can be worn at the office but still very trendy at the same time. This is one of my favorite colors in my nail polish collection and probably my favorite Julep shade that I own. Julep nail polishes retail for $14.00 by themselves but if you are a Julep Maven you can get them for only $11.20.

Julep Nail Polish in Renee

Julep's nail polish in Renee is a gorgeous lilac polish with a cream finish. At first glance it does look very similar to Sally Hansen's Lacey Lilac but it is completely different. Renee is a more toned down lilac with gray undertones. This is another polish that I received in my Golden Ticket box last spring. Renee is one of my favorite Julep polishes because it only takes one coat. I still did two just to be safe though. I like the formula because it is on the thicker side but not too thick where it becomes goopy and hard to work with. Julep classifies this nail polish as "a classic red creme." This is definitely a classic red, but it has orange undertones.  I got this nail polish in the Golden Ticket box that I received last spring, but I probably wouldn't have purchased it on its own. As with most Julep creme polishes, the formula is amazing and super smooth. Molly became opaque in one coat, but I still did two just to be safe. It dries glossy so you could get away without a top coat for the shine purpose. Julep Nail Polish in Penelope

Julep describes Penelope as "opaque creme, almost white with a hint of blush." I don't think they could have described it any better. They were spot on with that description and said it so much better than I would have. Plain and simple, this is a super pale pink. This is the only Julep nail polish I own that I do not care for. This nail polish is very sheer, and takes four coats to become opaque. I love the color, but cannot stand the formula so unfortunately this polish probably won't be getting used. The only time I will probably use this is if I am layering some sort of glitter or decorative top coat on top. I might try layering this on top of a white polish to see if that works any better. 

Julep Nail Polish in Susie

This past Spring I got one of Julep's Golden Ticket boxes and this was one of the polishes inside. Susie is a mint green that is so pale that it almost looks white. As I am sure you all know, white and pastel shades that are this light tend to be streaky, so it did take me three coats for Susie to become completely opaque. Julep nail polishes normally retail for $14.00 a piece but if you are a Julep Maven, they are only $11.20. 

Julep Nail Polish in Eva

Julep describes Eva as "a juicy raspberry creme with the right balance of sophisticated and whimsy."  Basically Eva is a darker pink with red undertones. Julep's nail polishes are definitely salon quality, but I just can't justify spending $14.00 a piece on them so I have the Maven subscription box. With the Maven box you get two polishes and sometimes an extra for only $19.99 a month, plus you get a twenty percent discount on the other polishes. Eva is completely opaque in one to two coats. I love the formula of the creme polishes from Julep and have yet to have a problem applying any of them. 

Julep Nail Polish in Alyson

I received Julep's Alyson in my Golden Ticket box earlier this year along with several other polishes from Julep. Alyson is an almond colored polish with a cream finish. I guess you could classify this as a nude or neutral nail polish. Initially when I saw Alyson I wasn't too excited, it looked kind of boring to me. I have only worn it by itself a couple of times, but I have been wanting to use it as a base for different nail art styles. Alyson was on the thinner side so it did take three coats to become opaque. Julep's Alyson looks similar to Essie Sand Tropez but with more yellow tones to it. 

Julep Nail Polish in Niecy

Julep describes Niecy as "a bright pink creme to bring on sunny days."  That description is pretty much spot on, but to me I see a hint of coral to this shade. As always, I love the formula of Julep's creme polishes. Every one that I have tried only takes two coats to become completely opaque. This shade is one that you wouldn't necessarily have to use a top coat with because it dries to a super glossy, shiny finish. I'm not one to use bright colors like this on my fingers a lot but I love it on my toes.

I love Julep nail polishes because they are 4 free meaning they do not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene or DBP. They retail for $14.00 but you can get a subscription box which includes two nail polishes hand picked by a Julep stylist for only $19.99 making them roughly $10.00 each. Mandy is described by Julep as a fresh, bright, deep coral-pink creme. I would agree with most of that other than the pink part. It looks more red to me than pink. This nail polish is pretty much opaque in one coat, but I always apply at least two just to be safe.

Julep describes Parker as a "golden tangerine cream, perfect for the first pedi of sandal season."  I would have to say that their description is pretty much spot on. This polish is so bright that its almost neon. This orange is perfect for the summer but you could still pull it off in the fall. The only thing I don't like about this particular color is that it does take three to four coats to become fully opaque. I got this nail polish in the Golden Ticket box that I received last spring, so I didn't pay the full $14.00 that this polish normally sells for.
