MAC Creme d' Nude

MAC's Creme d' Nude is one of their top-selling lipsticks. In fact, it was the first MAC lipstick that I ever purchased. Creme d' Nude is a Cremesheen finish lipstick and one of my favorite formulas by MAC. Since it is somewhat sheer you can either wear it sheer or build it up for a more pigmented finish. MAC lipsticks have a great vanilla scent to them which I really love. I hate how drugstore lipsticks often smell almost like a chemical or an old lady. Creme d' Nude is a light nude with peachy undertones. This is my go to lipstick when I want to wear a nude lipstick.

GOSH Lipstick in Darling

GOSH is a cosmetics brand that is not easily accessible in the United States. It is primarily sold in Canada and the UK. I found out about GOSH Darling lipstick and how it was the must have nude lipstick through YouTube. I was bound and determined to get my hands on this lipstick and eventually I was able to swap for it. GOSH Velvet Touch lipsticks are packaged in a sleek matte black tube and a shiny band where the brand name is imprinted. The formula of these lipsticks is very creamy. Darling is a light beige color and I have fairly pigmented lips so it almost sinks into any creases and dry spots. If you have pigmented lips I would suggest using a lib scrub or some sort of lip exfoliating product first.

L'Oreal Lipstick in Fairest Nude

This would probably be my favorite drugstore nude lipstick that I have in my collection. Fairest Nude is on the pinkier side as far as "nude" lipsticks are concerned. This shade is one of those "My Lips But Better" shades, which I absolutely love. Fairest Nude is just a touch darker than my natural lip color. This is the only lipstick I own from the L'Oreal Colour Rich line, but this one seems to be very moisturizing. This lipstick is very pigmented and has a somewhat shiny finish. If this were a MAC lipstick it would probably be under the Cremesheen category.

OPI Have A Tempura Tan-Trum

OPI's Have A Tempura Tan-Trum was released in 2005 with their Japan collection. I didn't pick up this nail polish when the collection was released, but I got it a couple years later in a swap. This shade to me looks like a very pale peach with yellow undertones to it. I love the color of this nail polish but I didn't care for the application of it. Have A Tempura Tan-Trum was very streaky and took four coats to get a decent opacity without obvious streaks.  Being this nail polish was limited edition I don't believe you can get it in stores anymore but you should be able to find it on Ebay or maybe Amazon.

Revlon Nail Polish in Endless Possibilities

Revlon's Endless Possibilities is a great nude nail polish that would go great with any skin tone. This would be perfect to wear to an interview or to work if you work in a conservative office. Endless Possibilities is a nude with peachy pink undertones. It also has a golden shimmer to it, but once applied to the nails it is barely noticeable. I am sad that the shimmer doesn't transfer, because it would make the nail polish so unique. This nail polish is part of their permanent line and retails for around $4.99, but sometimes even cheaper!

Confetti Nail Polish in Heartthrob

Confetti nail polishes retail exclusively at CVS for $1.99 and are often times on sale for even cheaper. A while back I picked up Heartthrob and Moonstruck. Heartthrob is a gorgeous shimmery pink nude color. This nail polish is very sheer but sometimes its nice to have a sheer wash of color on your nails. If you want it to become more opaque I would suggest at least three to four coats. If you don't want that many layers you could always layer it on top of another similar color in a cream finish.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro in Bare Naked

Rimmel's Bare Naked is from their Lasting Finish Pro Line which claims to last up to 10 days. I will not be testing that claim as I would go crazy with the same shade on my nails for 10 days in a row. I usually switch out my nail polish every few days. Bare Naked is the perfect warm peachy nude shade with a subtle shimmer. When applied on the nails though, you cannot really see the shimmer. With this nail polish you can technically get away with only two coats but I usually use three just to be safe.

Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle in Polished Pearl

Polished Pearl is the first and only nail polish I have tried from the Nail Growth Miracle line. The Nail Growth Miracle nail polishes contain multi-vitamins that help resist splitting, cracking and breaking. Usually when a product has claims like this it means with repeated used over time. I don't wear a single polish enough times in a row to notice anything like that. With that said, I picked up this nail polish for the color, not the nail protection properties. I would describe this shade as a warm vanilla nude with a shimmer to it. I can't pinpoint whether its gold or silver shimmer, depending on how the light hits it it can look like either. Polished Pearl was a limited edition color, so you cannot find it in stores anymore but I have seen it available on Amazon and Ebay if you are interested.

Urban Decay Lipstick in Naked

Urban Decay's Naked Lipstick is my absolute favorite nude lipstick. This was the first product I owned from the Naked line. For me this is the perfect MLBB (My Lips But Better) lipstick. It does lean more towards the pink side versus the nude side. It has a golden shimmer to it as well as a somewhat shiny finish. Naked lipstick originally sold for $22.00 but is now discontinued. You might be able to find it on Ebay or Amazon but I am sure you would pay an outrageous price for it. I am now regretting not picking up a back up of this product.

The packaging is what originally interested me in this lipstick but I quickly learned that it is more of an annoyance than anything.

Essie Nail Polish in Mamba

Essie released Mamba with their Spring 2011 collection. It is now part of their permanent line and that is where I found it when I purchased it. I believe I picked this one up from Wal-Mart when they first started selling Essie nail polish. Essie's website describes this nail polish as a shimmering cafe au lait, but to me its more of a shimmering nude peach color. This is one of those polishes that you could wear for an interview, neutral and classy. This nail polish only took about two coats to become completely opaque. I really do enjoy this polish a lot and am so glad that I picked it up for around $8.00.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Without a Stitch

The Complete Salon Manicure line from Sally Hansen claims to be a base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, color and top coat all in one. This is the first nail polish I picked up from this line by Sally Hansen and I picked it up because I saw it in the clearance section at Target for around $4.00. Sadly this nail polish was limited edition and can no longer be found in stores. Without a Stitch is a very light tan polish with a cream finish. This nail polish only takes about two generous coats to get a nice opaque finish.
