Essie Mink Muffs

Essie describes Mink Muffs as "a smoky plush taupe." You can order this nail polish from their website or find it in most drugstores near you. Mink Muffs was originally released in Essie's Fall 2009 collection. Mink Muffs is a creamy brown with gray undertones. It could almost be taupe but it my eyes it leans more towards the milk chocolate side. This polish applies smoothly and becomes fully opaque in two coats, but I still did three just to be on the safe side. This will definitely be one of my favorites for the fall and winter season. 

Confetti Nail Polish in Moonstruck

I recently picked this nail polish up for only $1.99 at my CVS. This is Moonstruck by Confetti which is similar to a lot of the other taupe nail polishes out there but I couldn't resist at only $1.99. I do like that this nail polish has more of a purple undertone to it. This polish only took two coats to become completely opaque and dries fairly fast. To me this looks a lot like You Don't Know Jacques by OPI but I don't own that shade so I couldn't really say. I use a top coat with any polish that I use.
